Since the 1960s, they have been delighting TV viewers all over Germany. Initially only used as commercials by ZDF, the Mainzelmännchen are now regarded as genuine iconic figures. It's exactly 60 years since the six little gnomes made their first appearance in 1963.
Of course, this anniversary needs to be celebrated properly, which is why Anton himself looks back on 60 years of exciting history on his little nostalgia TV.
