What could be better than an evening stroll through the Christkindlmarkt during the Christmas season? The cold air is filled with the scent of mulled wine, bratwurst, roasted almonds and gingerbread. Many visitors, both young and old, are already milling around the market, looking forward to Santa Claus and the many tasty treats on offer. At the town's gates, under the big Christmas tree, a friendly gingerbread seller offers her merchandise for sale. The little sales booth is decorated Christmassy with green branches, red baubles and, of course, hearts and stars made of gingerbread. The festively decorated garland of the pyramid beautifully frames the scenery.
